Often times people want to get involved in charitable work but either do not know what to do/where to go or have time to participate in a full time charity. By either hosting an event or even participating in one of the events yourself, you are able to do what you love to give back to a good cause. It also helps build a community within our community dedicated to athletic philanthropy and increases the number of people in your sport from the PR.
Clubs/colleges involved in our work are making a large impact by participating and volunteering a decent amount of time and resources by volunteering their participation, and we thus believe they they should have the right to organize and manage their events the way they want. Participating clubs/colleges work during the off season with us to determine the best week(end) for their event over the entire year; what events they want to host, which referees/officials they want to use; the formatting; if the event is sanctioned/unsanctioned/etc. We encourage creativity and autonomy in organizing the event (but are of course always here to support whenever needed).
Holding these tournaments is a great way to advertise your club/college. The events we've held in the past are often times written up in local papers and posted across different social media outlets.
Each event has people videoing the event and notable matchups. Athletes competing have a chance to be recorded and have videos of them competing to our YouTube page and social media outlets, increasing your exposure to prospective colleges or your own social media interests. Athletes are free to tag themselves on social media if requested. We also are open to receiving external footage to post.
